Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Blackout Intelligence OS platform and related services (the "Service") operated by Blackout Intelligence ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
2. Acceptable use
The Service provides open-source intelligence (OSINT) tooling. You may use it only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, including data protection law. Your use is further governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Prohibited uses include unlawful surveillance, stalking, harassment, discrimination, or any activity that infringes the rights of others.
3. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis via our payment processor, Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.
4. Third-party services & API keys
Certain modules rely on third-party data providers. Where you supply your own API keys, you are responsible for compliance with those providers' terms. We store your keys encrypted and use them solely to operate the modules you enable.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and content, is owned by Blackout Intelligence and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Data you collect through the Service remains yours.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. OSINT results are aggregated from external sources and may be incomplete or inaccurate; you must independently verify any information before relying on it. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blackout Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any misuse of the Service or the data obtained through it. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required to protect the Service or third parties.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
